Torus support

A little help,
when you need it.

Start with the answers below, or send an email to the person behind the app.

Getting started

  1. Choose New Article or a template. Enter your title and name.
  2. Open Insert Math. Choose a symbol or expression. Complete its fields.
  3. Press Compile to produce your PDF.

The built-in lessons and error-practice exercises introduce the basics. On Mac, Help → Quick Start opens the introduction again.

Common questions

My document does not compile

Open the Issues list. Torus shows the error and its line in the source. Open Details for the original compiler message. On Mac, install MacTeX if a package is not in the built-in collection.

My bibliography does not appear

Templates that use Biber, including the APA 7 starters, require a TeX distribution with Biber on Mac. These templates do not yet support bibliography processing on iPad.

Included files or images are missing

Use File → Choose Project Folder. Then use Choose Main File. Keep chapters, images, and .bib files inside the main file's folder.

I lost unsaved changes

On Mac, choose File → Recover Writing. Preview a snapshot. Restore it as a new document.

Restore a purchase

Open Settings. Choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that you used for the purchase.

Request a refund

Apple processes purchases and refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
