Data we collect

None. Torus does not collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics or device identifiers, and it does not track you across apps or websites.

Your documents

Your .tex files, images and PDFs are stored wherever you save them: on your Mac, in the Files app or in iCloud Drive. Compilation runs entirely on your device. Documents are never uploaded to a compilation, analytics or any other server operated by us.

To protect unsaved work, Torus keeps recovery snapshots and recent PDF build history in the app's private storage on your device. You can discard recovered snapshots from within the app, and deleting the app removes this data.

If you store documents in iCloud Drive, Apple handles them under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

The free trial, the one-time purchase and the subscription are handled by Apple through the App Store. Torus asks Apple for product prices and checks your purchase status. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information.

Network access

Torus works offline. The only network requests it makes are to the App Store for purchases and prices, and, if you explicitly choose to, to download an optional resource pack from an address you supply.

Children

Torus collects no data from anyone, including children.
